The dark era of Lord Voldemort was one of fear and prejudice. With Tom Marvolo Riddle’s death the Wizarding World now faces an uncertain future or mourning and of reconstruction. Kingsley Shacklebolt is placed as Acting Minister for Magic, his work in the war his only reference in the appointment. Many in the community disagree with his appointment, and rebels riot. Candidates step forward and call for an election and their supporters are separated into opposing forces. Kingsley insists the need for law and order and unity among all is the only way forward, yet the polls loom ever closer. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was once a haven for the untrained children of Wizarding Britain, but since the Battle of Hogwarts it has been left in disrepair. The School Governors have no choice but to close it, their investment in the ancient school nearly lost. The shares in the castle are for sale, and now the bidding begins. Those who followed and supported the Order of the Phoenix are on round-up duty, on the look out for any who supported He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Azkaban, now free of the menacing dementors, holds those facing trial while the known innocents are set free. What would seem a simple task is made much harder as many flee the country, while others prefer fight to flight The lives lost in the battle against Voldemort are mourned, and those in hiding reveal themselves again. But the damage caused by Voldemort is irreversible, and those who lost their homes and livelihoods must start again. Shops begin to reopen, the Daily Prophet starts to print articles without censorship and relationships are now even stronger. Put on a brave face, the past is behind you. |
